A different quality of thinking environment.

I moved to Chamonix because nature and the mountains do something to the quality of thinking that a meeting room simply doesn't. I've experienced it myself, and I've watched it happen with individuals and teams I've worked with. When you step out of urgency and into a different physical environment, something shifts. The conversations change. The questions get better. Things that felt fixed start to look more flexible.

This work sits at the intersection of my background as an ICF PCC coach, a certified team coach, and an International Mountain Leader. It isn't a wellness retreat or a team-building day. It's a working environment - designed and facilitated around what the person or group actually needs to think through.

What this looks like in an organisational context.

While I offer the options below as starting points, a significant part of this work is helping organisations, leaders, and teams to define their own ideal nature-based experience. Rather than fitting into a pre-designed format, the question is: what would it look like to genuinely step out of the day-to-day, do deeper thinking, and reconnect to what matters - with nature as the frame and support for that process? The shape of the experience follows from that conversation.

Leadership team offsites

1-3 days · Standalone or part of a wider programme

Designed offsites for senior teams who need to step out of urgency and think more clearly together. Combining structured facilitation and coached conversation with the physical reality of the natural environment. Particularly useful when a team is navigating a significant decision, recovering from a period of friction, or needs to reconnect to shared direction before a new phase of work. Locations include the mountains around Chamonix, the Jura, and other wild or remote settings depending on the group.

The format is built around what the team actually needs - not a standard agenda. Some sessions involve walking and movement; others are more contemplative. All of it is intentional.

Nature-based coaching days

Individual · 1 day

A full day of coaching conversation and guided immersion in a natural environment. For individual leaders who want a different kind of space to think - away from screens, away from the office, in a setting that naturally slows the mind down and makes things clearer. Useful at points of transition, when a decision is proving difficult, or when someone simply needs to reconnect to what matters to them in the work. Days are typically based in the mountains above Chamonix or in other landscapes depending on where you are.

Ground & Explore weekends

Small group · 2 nights

A weekend immersion for a small group of people navigating change, transition, or a period of uncertainty. Walking, wild camping, fire, and the kind of conversation that doesn't happen in offices. Structured support before and after the weekend to prepare and integrate the experience. Weekends currently run in the Jura mountains, though the format can be adapted to other wild or quiet landscapes.

This sits between the organisational and personal. It suits leaders who are at a crossroads in their careers, people in the middle of a significant life transition, or anyone who wants a genuine pause in a genuinely beautiful place.

Beyond the organisational.

Alongside the organisational work, I offer deeper nature-based experiences for individuals who are looking for something more personal - vision quests, soul journeys, and individual coaching in the mountains. These sit outside the scope of what I do through tom-goldstein.com and are held through authenticnature.com, where you can find the full range of pathways.
